I really like the keyword search tool used in the Ed Dale 30 Day Challenge, Market Samurai. And the best part is that the keyword research part is totally free. There could be some improvements, though, and I am hoping they consider my feedback, since the product is still in development.

I’m on Day 3 of Ed’s Challenge (a little late, I know, but at least I’m doing it), and so far I’m really impressed. The keyword research portion is excellent.

While I knew a lot about keyword research already, he really summed it up well for me. I now realize that my marketing efforts are waste of my time, when I don’t take the time to use a keyword search tool to find good keywords… and then USE those keywords.

He gives step-by-step instructions on how to find good keywords, using Market Samurai.

Our article marketing becomes way more effective if we use good keywords. Otherwise we are basically doing random writing that won’t bring traffic.

A couple of things I didn’t like about Market Samurai are as follows.

After you type in your root keyword, you click the Keyword Analysis button and the tool returns a bunch of related keywords. This feature allows you to identify other keywords that you might not have thought about.

You can then delete each related keyword that doesn’t apply. You have to delete them one by one, though! That’s the part that could significantly be improved. They should allow you to delete multiple keywords to save the user a lot of time.

The removed keywords are then placed in the Negative Keyword box. But if you make a mistake, there is no easy way to take that keyword out of the Negative Keyword box and back into your keyword list you are building. Another flaw.

Nevertheless, I highly recommend the Ed Dale 30 Day Challenge, especially for beginners, because it is so important to learn early on that a keyword search tool is essential for online success.

I haven’t gotten to the other lessons yet, so look for more reviews coming from me soon enough.
