How to Use OnlyWire For Social Bookmarking Purposes

By John Allen May 21, 2022 No Comments

Social bookmarking is a powerful way of marketing with a tribe of like-minded individuals. You definitely want to be taking advantage of the benefits of social bookmarking.

What is social bookmarking? Social bookmarking has become a complete phenomenon for getting traffic from social bookmarking networks as well as getting results in the actual search engines. There are a lot of social bookmarking websites, which is the main advantage of using Onlywire. By using Onlywire, which is a WordPress plug-in tool, you can access all of the social bookmarking sites with one click.

What is the purpose of social bookmarking? Using a social bookmark is a way for someone to be able to organize their personal bookmarks and share that content with other people. This is powerful because information that the search engines deem as popular and gets traffic will be listed in the search engine for related terms to the content. This can get you free traffic to your site.

Here’s an example of social bookmarking. If you write an article published at EzineArticles, or however you decide to publish it, someone may see that content, and if they enjoy it they may choose to bookmark it on their own social bookmarking service. When someone does that your content is listed and published in the social bookmarking. Then as the search engines your your article or and find that it has been bookmarked, it gets extra favor when it is displayed in the search engine results.

As a result you get extra traffic on top of your normal visibility and traffic you would get for publishing that content. You can see how powerful social bookmarking really is!

It would be a lot of work to go through all the bookmarking sites and individually bookmark a piece of content -which is where Onlywire comes in. This is a powerful tool to leverage your time and effort. This will allow you to get a massive distribution with a minimal effort.

As in any social media marketing you must keep in mind the social media mindset and don’t go in and spam the search engines by blasting away your personal content and promotional stuff to just anyone who will listen. That is a sure way to get your content and your accounts closed. Social media efforts need to appear natural. In order to do that you need to be bookmarking other people’s content and using bookmarking yourself.

That way you develop a reputation and your recommendation matters. You want to develop a reputation for good recommendations and then and only then can you recommend your stuff as well as other people’s stuff. Then content will be considered equally valid because you have a solid reputation with your fan base and following.

It will take you some time to go through the individual accounts and set up accounts with each one of them. But the benefits far out weighs the time you take to register with the site’s. It will probably take you an hour to two hours to go through and register with each individual bookmarking site through Onlywire.

So here’s step-by-step how to set up the Onlywire plug-in tool on your blog.

Log into your WordPress back office, go to your plug-ins, go to add new, type in Onlywire. Click the install button, then activate the plug-in. Once it’s activated you be able to see the bookmark and share icon on your blog posts.

Go to Onlywire.com, create an account, then you will see a list of all the bookmarking websites. Then you need to go to each one of the social bookmarking sites and register. Once you register, enter your login info on the Onlywire page and save all.

You will see all the sites listed in an email from Onlywire, and it will display your progress. It will say success, failed or needs finalized. Go through the finalization steps, click save. It will then tell you finalization complete! If something failed it is probably an incorrect username or password, so you will just need to go back and fix that.

From blog posts, you can click on the book mark and share icon, log into onlywire, add tags and a description and then bookmark it. That’s all there is to it!

This will save you a lot of time and provide a huge benefit! This is an awesome way to syndicate others content for them and help build their blogs and get massive back links. Your syndication tribe will then do the same for you.
